Product Information
CARBON FIBER FABRIC 400 G/M2 BIAKS
Biaxial carbon fiber fabric is well-suited for structures that require rapid build-up of laminate thickness, excellent formability, and high durability. This fabric type is highly resistant to fraying and conforms easily to complex surfaces, making it an ideal material for carbon fiber repairs and structural reinforcements. For cosmetic surface finishes, other types of fabrics are typically used. The fabric is made by laying one layer of carbon fiber tows side by side at a 45-degree angle, with a second layer placed crosswise, also at a 45-degree angle. These layers are stitched together with a fine polyester thread, ensuring a consistent structure and preventing the layers from shifting during handling.
Carbon fibers are suitable for reinforcing both thermoset and thermoplastic materials. They are primarily used as reinforcement when the product being manufactured requires a combination of strength, stiffness, and light weight.
