SphereCel laminate bulkers are made from nonwoven fabric (fiberglass) and microspheres. They are used when the goal is to quickly increase the thickness and stiffness of a fiber-reinforced plastic structure. Laminate bulker is typically applied in thicknesses of a few millimeters and can be used to produce either flat or contoured laminates. Using it makes the laminate up to 40–60% lighter compared to using conventional chopped strand mat.
Applications
Laminate bulker is suitable for marine applications, leisure products, and various industrial uses. Typical applications include manufacturing panels, swimming pools, boats, and automotive parts.
