MICROSPHERES WHITE 5 KG (GLASS MICROSPHERES)


White (C-glass) microspheres are hollow silica spheres (SiO2 53–73% depending on grade) with an average particle density of 0.20 g/cm³ and bulk density of 0.10–0.15 g/cm³. Particle size is 40–80 µm. Melting point is 700–850 °C and hardness on the Mohs scale is 6–6.5.

Application

Fillers prevent the adhesive from flowing out of the joint and excessive absorption into the bonded materials. Adding fillers also increases the thickness of the adhesive layer.


Fillers are added to the pre-mixed resin-hardener mixture. When thickening, the amount of filler usually does not need to be measured precisely. Filler is added to the resin-hardener mix until the desired consistency or property is achieved. The accompanying table provides indicative values for the amount of filler used in different cases. Filler for resin. White microspheres are very light fillers that are used for thickening resin. White (C-glass)microspheres are hollow silicon dioxide glass bubbles (SiO2 53 – 73 %), the average particle density is 0,20 g/cm³ and cubic density 0,10 – 0,15 g/cm³. The particle size is 40 – 80 µm. Melting point ca. 700 – 850 ºC and hardness Mohs scale 6 – 6,5.
