CARBON FIBER TAPE340 G/M2 25MM
Carbon fiber tapes are a convenient solution for localized reinforcement in composite structures. They are particularly well-suited for applications where additional strength is needed in specific areas—such as reinforcing transverse beams or other load-bearing structures in boats.
Weight: 340 g/ m2

In UD (unidirectional) tapes, all carbon fibers run in the same direction along the length of the tape. These tapes feature light stitching that holds the fibers in place across the width without affecting the strength of the laminate.
The weave of the tape determines the fiber orientation and mechanical behavior. In biaxial tapes, carbon fibers are arranged in two layers at ±45 degrees relative to the tape’s lengthwise direction. This structure provides improved torsional stiffness and multidirectional strength. A carbon fiber tape with a plain weave refers to a tape where the fibers are woven in a traditional plain weave pattern. In this structure, warp and weft threads cross alternately — one over, one under — creating a uniform, dense, and easily formable fabric or tape.
Carbon fiber tapes are suitable for reinforcing both thermoset and thermoplastic materials, and they are especially chosen when an excellent strength-to-weight ratio is desired. Their light weight, high tensile strength, and stiffness make them an ideal material for technical and demanding composite structures.
