Bonding ABS Plastic or Polycarbonate
Bonding plastic is not always as simple as it may seem. Especially when working with ABS plastic and polycarbonate, it is important to choose the right adhesive.
Gurit Spabond 545 is a two-component, black, non-sagging epoxy adhesive. Its special feature is its adhesion to challenging plastics such as ABS and polycarbonate. In addition, it bonds to aluminium, stainless steel, laminates and wood.
Thanks to these properties, Spabond 545 is a good option for repair, construction and hobby projects where plastic, metal, wood or composite materials are combined in the same structure.
Benefits of the epoxy adhesive?

Brief instructions for use
For the best result, prepare the surfaces carefully before bonding. Clean, abrade, remove dust and wipe the surface before applying the adhesive. Also carry out a test bond before the final bonding to make sure you know exactly how the parts fit into place. The product is optimal at a temperature of 15–25 °C. Please note that Spabond 545 is a two-component adhesive, so when using a cartridge, a suitable adhesive gun and mixing nozzle are required.
