Product Information
PET KERDYN GR 80 15 MM FLAT
PET foam sheets are environmentally friendly and durable core materials used in sandwich structures. Some of the foam is made from recycled materials, specifically PET bottles. These sheets offer a combination of light weight, good compressive strength and stiffness, as well as chemical and water resistance.
Board density | 80 kg/m3 |
Board thickness | 15 mm |
Board dimensions | 1220 mm x 610 mm |
PET foam is also easy to work with. It can be cut, milled, machined, and thermoformed. It is designed as a core material for sandwich structures.
The board can be used in fiber-reinforced composites, for example, by laminating it with carbon, glass, or aramid fibers. It is compatible with the most common resins such as epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester resins. The board maintains its shape well under load and generally withstands continuous heat of about 70–100 °C, and temporarily even higher temperatures depending on the foam's density and quality. The recommended thermoforming temperature for the foam board is 140 °C (maximum 160 °C).
It is suitable for use in applications such as boat hulls, sports equipment, wind turbine blades, lightweight building elements, and vehicle structures. Kysy ChatGPT:ltä
Typical applications:
PET foam sheets are used in a wide range of lightweight sandwich structures where durability, low weight, and long service life are essential:
- Doors, window and door components, cabinet panels, interior cladding and furniture
 - Sandwich panels in the construction industry, such as walls, partitions and roof structures
 - Transport and leisure vehicles, including motorhomes, vans and trailers
 - Areas where wood is not suitable due to moisture or biological exposure
 - Marine applications such as boat interiors, decks, and structural components
