SILICONE THINNER 0,41 KG
Silicone thinner is a non-reactive silicone oil that reduces the viscosity of tin-catalyzed (condensation) or platinum-catalyzed (addition) silicones. NOTE: Do not exceed 10% of the total mixture (A + B).
Features:
- Reduces mixture viscosity, speeding up air bubble removal under vacuum.
- Improves flow, allowing silicone to capture mold details more accurately.
- Softens cured silicone, lowering the final Shore hardness
- Extends working and curing time depending on the amount of thinner added.
Note: Tensile and tear strength decrease as the amount of thinner increases; however, tear resistance in Mold Max™ silicones remains high.
Instructions for use:
- Store and use materials at room temperature (~23 °C).
- Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and protective gloves to minimize contamination.
| Add silicone thinner by weight percentage of the total silicone mixture (Part A + Part B). Use a precise scale. Mix thinner thoroughly with Part A before adding Part B, then mix all components thoroughly. |
Since applications vary, we always recommend a small test pour if material suitability is uncertain.
