Product Information
EPOXY HARDENER SD7160 2,45 KG
The casting resin hardener (SD7160, 2.45 kg) is used with the casting resin SR GreenCast 160 (5.83 kg). It is an ideal choice for creating jewelry, decorations, prototypes, and striking epoxy tables – such as the popular "river tables."
Standard epoxy resins are not always suitable for thick pours – they may overheat, yellow, or develop air bubbles and surface imperfections. Casting resin like SR GreenCast 160 has been specifically developed to address these challenges. It cures slowly and in a controlled manner, maintaining excellent clarity and minimizing color changes even in large volume pours.
Benefits
- Pour thickness up to 10 cm at 20°C
- Clear and colorless
- Cures at room temperature
- Mixing ratio 2:1
- Good UV resistance
- Excellent impact and heat resistance
- The resin component is bio-based (37%)

Measure the resin and hardener components accurately. Mix slowly to avoid introducing air bubbles. In some applications, it may be beneficial to preheat the mixture and/or degas it under vacuum. The maximum casting thickness is approximately 100 mm.
Safety
Before working with epoxy, ALWAYS ensure good ventilation and proper skin protection. Wear a long-sleeved shirt and disposable gloves resistant to epoxy (e.g., nitrile). Uncured epoxy resin is a strong skin sensitizer. Fully cured epoxy is not hazardous to health.
Tools can be cleaned with acetone, but keep in mind that epoxy is a very strong adhesive and sticks to almost anything – including your tools. Therefore, use inexpensive tools that can be discarded after use.
